Baines Abradedface Gardenstone® Wall Blocks are a lightweight, compact retaining wall solution designed for small-scale landscaping applications. Purpose-built for ease of use, these blocks are nearly 60% smaller than standard Norfolk Wall Blocks and weigh just 7.2 kg each, making them ideal for DIY enthusiasts and homeowners seeking a hassle-free installation experience. The hollow-core design (excluding the solid capping units) further reduces weight while maintaining structural efficiency for non-load-bearing applications.
Featuring a textured abraded finish with unique vein patterns, Gardenstone® blocks deliver natural stone-like aesthetics that enhance the visual appeal of garden beds, planter boxes, low retaining walls, and edging. Their smaller profile allows for tighter curves and compact wall designs, making them especially suitable for residential spaces with intricate layouts or limited room.
These blocks are engineered for walls up to four (4) courses high from ground level, plus capping (excluding any buried base course). They are not suitable for load-bearing or engineered retaining structures.
When constructing straight walls using the long face (210mm), approximately 4.8 blocks are required per lineal metre. For full wall face coverage, estimate 40 blocks per square metre. It is important to exclude the final course of capping blocks from these calculations to ensure accurate material estimation.
